22 week ultrasound

Since, the twins are MoDi, we have amniotic fluid checks on the babies every two weeks. This is to monitor the risk of TTTS (twin to twin transfusion). So far so good!

Current ailments: terrible lower back pain, acid reflux, and a heartbeat sensation in my left ear (Patulous Eustachian Tube Dysfunction). Double trouble!

Started feeling movement at 20 weeks! This is the best part. I have an anterior placenta, so it takes the brunt of the kicks...less feeling for me. But, I'm sure that will be changing soon since they are VERY active little boys :)

Monochorionic Diamniotic

There has been lots of questions about my twin pregnancy. There a a few different types of twins. Ours is called Monochorionic Diamniotic (MoDi). This is not genetic. The egg that I ovulated and that was fertilized, randomly split in two...creating identical twins.
So amazing.

22 weeks!

I'm currently 22 weeks along and both babies are doing great. Although, they are causing me to have terrible back pain! I feel so huge for 22 weeks!!

identical....

Update! We have been so busy here, that I have forgotten to give an update.

At 16 weeks along. We found out...."Oh boy, oh boys!!".

BOYS!!

"You know there's 2 in there, right?"
I will never forget those words spoken by our ultrasound tech.
